Professional Experience
Julie Whelan is the Head of Occupier Research for the Americas at CBRE. Based in Boston, Julie works closely with key CBRE leadership to provide insightful and timely analysis to help clients make informed real estate decisions. She works towards identifying trends that will impact office occupiers across industries in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. These trends and subsequent insight are presented via thought leadership pieces for CBRE professionals and clients.
Ms. Whelan has more than 10 years of experience in real estate market analysis and consulting. Prior to joining CBRE, she was the Vice President of Global Realty Services for State Street Corporation. She managed a team that was responsible for analyzing the strategic and financial impacts associated with real estate decisions globally at State Street. She has built her career on analyzing facts and figures that influence the C-suite on matters related to real estate in large institutions.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Providence College and a Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University. Ms. Whelan also completed the Commercial Real Estate Program at Boston University.
