Background – Facilities Manager

Elif Tonguc Akdağ is the Facilities Manager responsible for management of soft services for Pfizer, Turkey. She is responsible for the delivery of internal services including catering, housekeeping, FM support services and other facilities management services including real estate portfolio management, workplace renovations and relocations.

Professional Experience

CB Richard Ellis (Oct 2009- )
Currently performing Facilities Manager and Site Security Officer role for Pfizer Turkey, reporting to CB Richard Ellis Facilities Management Group, based in UK.
In addition to this role, acting as the local contact and responsible for Pfizer Global Operations and Pfizer Global Security Groups based in UK.
Currently is responsible for:
 The entire facility-related operations and services for HQ Campus and 10 satellite offices as well as 85 warehouses/storages, which totals approximately 27,000 sqm countrywide.
 Electronic, Procedural and Physical Security Operations,
 Real Estate Operations & Projects,
 Facilities & Office Management.
 A budget of approximately 6 million USD and
 Approximately 100 people.

Pfizer Turkey (2002- 2009 )

Facilities and Internal Services Coordinator of Pfizer Istanbul Turkey. Main responsibility being contractor management which include but not limited to delivering internal services including food, cleaning, mail & internal logistics and facilities management services as well as a high frequency and volume of workplace renovations and relocations.
Lead several outsourcing, communication and change projects.
Supported Real Estate, EHS and Site Security operations.

Bersay Communications (2000-2002)

Acted as the project manager of integrated strategic communication affairs for one of Turkey’s leading home-electronics companies. Lead several communication and public relations activities, ranging from integrated strategic planning to implementation, such as internal communication events and press conferences. Celebrity representation was a plus gained from this experience.

Philip Morris-Turkey (1995-2000)

Gained extensive financial background as a treasury associate and money markets trader. Managed daily and periodic cash flows of the corporation. Actively traded the local money markets. Managed a daily limit of USD 5 million in several investment tools for high profitability.

 BS- Middle East Technical University in Ankara- Department of Management
 Diverse training on personal development, finance, HR and business.
 Her native language is Turkish and she is fluent in English.
 Certified professional presenter/ speaker and first aid practitioner.
